Grow Your Faith

Faith is like a muscle. To make it grow...you have to stretch it and exercise it! In the book of Ephesians the apostle Paul writes, "Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming. Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ. From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work." Ephesians 4:14-16 From this passage you can see that It is God's will for you to grow in your faith, becoming more like Jesus every day. But how do you do that?

Here at Passages we have resources and people to help you. Our specialty is taking spiritual babies and turning them into mature believers. One resource we use is called One-to-One Discipling. It incorporates a 9 lesson study guide and is put out by Multiplication Ministries, in Vista, California. Another book we find helpful is called Growing in Christ. It is put out by Navpress. We use these training tools along with the Bible not in place of the Bible. The Bible is the only real training manual a Christian needs.

But Bible study is only one part of what it means to grow in Christ. By partnering you with a mentor (men with men/women with women) your mentor will be able to give you the bigger picture of what is involved in becoming a fully devoted follower of Jesus. Obviously, it isn't something that happens in a matter of days, but is a process that happens over months and years.

To get started all we ask is that you use the form below to give us a little information about yourself. Please include your name, email address and a phone number where we can get in touch with you. Also include the time of day that is best for you for getting together with one of our mentoring leaders. And don't worry. You're not signing your life away or committing to anything except getting more information at this point. You will be contacted by a mentor who will set up an initial consultation. After that it is entirely up to you to decide how to proceed.

Thanks for letting us know you are intested in growing in your faith. We are definitely interested in helping you do that!
